What is Infusion Therapy?

Infusion therapy is a type of medical treatment in which medication is delivered through a needle or catheter directly into the body via blood vessel, the spinal cord, or a muscle. It is prescribed when a patient's condition has become severe enough to no longer be effectively treated through oral medications.

Our Gainesville location offers an infusion center, here you can enjoy the convenience of not having to travel to a secondary facility to receive your treatments. Our Infusion Center has been designed with comfort in mind, offering our patients a safe space to relax while receiving their treatments. Our Services:

Medications administered at this location are for patient's suffering from Crohn's Disease and Colitis. Appointments are offered Tuesday through Thursday, and require a referral from a physician in order to be scheduled. Once the referral has been received our infusion nurse will work with our patients to schedule visits, obtain prior-authorizations( if required by the insurance), and assist with any additional questions.

*Please be aware Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville, P.C. has partnered with Altus Infusion on this center. At times it will be necessary to direct our patients to Altus Infusion in order to provide the most accurate information regarding infusion services.*
